1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Move Chill website and booking platform (the "Service") operated by Move Chill ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not access the Service.
2. The Service
Move Chill is a marketplace that connects customers seeking moving services with independent, vetted subcontractors. We provide instant AI-generated quotes and facilitate the booking, dispatch, and completion of moves. Move Chill acts as a scheduling and payment platform; the physical moving labor is performed by independent subcontractors, not by Move Chill directly.
3. Quotes & Pricing
Quotes generated by our AI assistant are estimates based on the information you provide (home size, distance, access conditions, specialty items, and competitor rates). The booking charge collected at checkout covers the 3-hour minimum labor plus the flat dispatch fee. The final balance is calculated and charged at job completion based on the crew's actual reported time, billed in 0.5-hour increments. Any specialty items, access surcharges, or long-distance mileage are added per the published rate sheet.
4. Payments
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. At booking, you authorize a charge for the 3-hour minimum plus dispatch fee, and you may save a payment method on file for the remaining balance. After the crew reports the job complete, the balance (and any optional tip) is charged automatically to your saved card. You may pay the balance manually via the payment link provided upon completion if you prefer.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
You may cancel or reschedule a booking up to 48 hours before the scheduled move time for a full refund of the booking charge. Cancellations within 48 hours may be subject to a fee equal to the booking charge. Refunds for completed moves are handled on a case-by-case basis; contact us to report any service issue.
6. Subcontractor Relationship
Subcontractors listed on the Move Chill platform are independent contractors, not employees of Move Chill. Move Chill is not liable for the acts or omissions of independent subcontractors beyond its role as a payment and scheduling facilitator. Each subcontractor carries their own insurance as required; Move Chill maintains additional coverage as a marketplace operator.
7. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information about your move, ensure reasonable access at both origin and destination, and be available (or have a representative available) to grant access and accept delivery. You are responsible for securing or removing items of extraordinary value not disclosed in advance, and for any items packed by you personally.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Move Chill's liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid Move Chill for the applicable move. Move Chill is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
9. Communications
By using the Service, you consent to receive transactional and service-related communications from Move Chill, including booking confirmations, status updates, and completion notices, via email, phone, and SMS where applicable. Standard message and data rates may apply.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
